That face, in panel 4, is gorgeous work. Expression, eyes, slight tilt of head, all work together to communicate shock. Contrast to Veja in the following panel who immediately looks for the hidden knife the old man may be hiding. In a real way these two need each other to grow and survive. Cer'veja's instincts keep them alive, and Arua's innate goodness make him a better person. Troll. Troll person.
Imma gonna guess before looking at next page that old gent has some acquaintance with The Light, as we are probably a fair piece from where The Kingdom was.
Although, this still seems to be "not the Azeroth we know" if Trolls and Tauren intermingle freely with humans and war doesn't break out. You mentioned early on that AruVeja and StarVan were their own individual story worlds. So are we dealing with not =#= Azeroth entirely in this storyline? Or do you have something peculiar worked out in that crafty mind of yours?
