I bet whoever crosses into the cross-hairs of that gun will never do it again. Guns are a modern war weapon of choice because of distance. Yes, with the gun you have a better chance to kill your attacker before they get too close. Guns are the more sanitary option for the wielder, of not the target. Death is a ways removed. Without getting excessively gory, killing someone with a sword or knife has *immediate* repercussions for the killer. That's what hit Arua so hard: being close up and actually feeling someone die. Hopefully that particular sacrifice is still a bit in Tirea's future.

I was extremely tired last week so things slipped past my brain. I like how between panels 3 & 4 you portrayed that perspective shift. In panel 3 Veja is staring at the ground off to the side as he goes introspective remembering the incident with Arua and how it affected her and their dynamic together. That shifts in panel 4 where he is looking directly at Tirea, and is very concerned about her enduring the same thing.
